Another curious beverage container someone's tossed out. Of course it will have it's own story. I'm picturing a secret, underground, R&D facility somewhere in South Carolina. After months of trial-and-error, researchers are on the cusp of a breakthrough. Using special, pork-specific calipers, a lab-coated egghead nudges a group pigs ever-so-slightly closer to one another. Needle gauges begin to flutter into the red. One last pig is precisely pushed, and... Zam! They achieve critical porcine mass. Then the shout: "We have achieved fizzin'!"

Yesterday I found an unopened jar of Baconnaise. yesterday evening I tried it. Today I report my findings.
Baconnaise is a sandwich spread, but I tried it by itself on bread. It didn't come out of the jar like mayonnaise, which will stand up on your spoon warm, or cold. Instead it had a runny consistency; more liquid-y than a sandwich condiment should be. Taste-wise, it was liquid bacon bits with a hint of mayonnaise tang, and contained enough salt to cure a ham... of blindness. I enjoyed it on the second slice more than the first, because I was prepared for it to run off the bread like rain off sheet-metal. By the third slice of bread, the salt was causing hallucinations. I must have blacked-out after that. I won't be buying it in the future, but baconholics jonesing for a hit will probably love it.
