Another curious beverage container someone's tossed out. Of course it will have it's own story. I'm picturing a secret, underground, R&D facility somewhere in South Carolina. After months of trial-and-error, researchers are on the cusp of a breakthrough. Using special, pork-specific calipers, a lab-coated egghead nudges a group pigs ever-so-slightly closer to one another. Needle gauges begin to flutter into the red. One last pig is precisely pushed, and... Zam! They achieve critical porcine mass. Then the shout: "We have achieved fizzin'!"
An online seller called Vat19 sells the entire line of Lester's Fixins Sodas -- bacon is just the beginning; there are five other foody flavours: Buffalo Wing, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Pumpkin Pie, Ranch Dressing, and Sweet Corn.
Except for the fact that you can already drink ranch dressing -- I've seen it done, each of these beverages allows the previously impossible, and probably provides at least an amazing, one-off taste experience. The Vat19 page, goes into some detail reviewing the flavours, and listing ingredients. I'd certainly be willing to try the second, third, and fifth, of the five flavours after Bacon. Thanks to my Baconnaise taste test, I've had enough liquified bacon bits to last a lifetime. But, hey, be my guest.
