Edna the Edsel won't be in Cars 3

Posted by Unknown

This isn't the time or place too rehash the marketing fiasco that was the the Ford Edsel. I think all out hearts go out to this poor, abandoned, cartoon car. Obviously, not everything Pixar does makes the cut; their standards are high, and movie audiences are definitely the winners as a result. Unfortunately Edna here may be one of the losers; another showbiz casualty. Or perhaps not. This may be a discarded character created by one of the most accomplished animation studios in the world, or a Papier Mâché prop from a school play -- it's hard to say. Click the images to enlarge.

Not Antiques Roadshow material?

I don't think this objet d' art is going to urn anyone face time with an AR appraiser. Give them their due, those Antique Roadies are no slouches where clocks or crockery are concerned, but do they really understand the technical nuances involved in grading Attic Greek Papier mâché? I think not. Actually, I don't know anyone who does. Ah well, it's like that poet guy said, "A thing of beauty is a joy forever," or in this case, until it rains. Click the images to enlarge them.
