Just left on top of a container bin. Unopened. Security seal intact. It's not American, but, I've never seen it before, neither in a supermarket, nor in my wildest dreams. What a weird combination ... "not so weird," a voice tells me. childhood memories of slabs of bread glistening with bacon drippings from a frying pan, come unbidden. I'll have to get some bread and try it later. Shame they added mayonnaise.

Suprise! Baconnaise has a homepage, and, not so surprising, a Wikipedia entry, which explains it's bacon flavoured, but vegetarian, and Kosher, and it's selling like hotcakes (so, why not just a hotcakes-flavoured spread?).
