Sweeping generalization about Vancouver's street cleaning

Posted by Unknown

I think it's at least one year since I've seen one of these things. They're designed to do, in a very small way, what nature does with heavy rain, nine months of the year, on a very grand scale, that is -- clean the streets. In fact, Vancouver doesn't seem to bring these street sweeper trucks out until the start of the rainy season, which, certainly must save on the amount of water the truck uses. And, the more I think about it, I can see the point of the little street sweeping trucks: While nature does the big brush strokes, the trucks can get in the corners, and do the detail work.
