Over the last six years Apple has done a remarkable job of making their iPhones and iPads very desirable items. Recently Apple has actually been adding features to their iOS to make the devices less desirable -- to thieves.

I'm sitting inside the Waves coffee shop drinking in the sights. I can see a customer outside on the patio sidewalk seating. He has his iPad in his lap, his dog is at his feet, and on his iPad -- he's using the forward-facing camera to watch his dog, cuz ... well, it's the 21st-Century, and he can -- and pets can't take their own "selfies." His beautiful dog is named Tinto, he's a Mexican Rescue Dog. Click the image to enlarge it.
