[caption id="attachment_7388" align="alignnone" width="497"]leaf-00 You can click this image to see a larger version; just not as large as the two below.[/caption]

This post may not be for you. The target viewer has time on their hands, a fascination with nature, and a fast Internet connection. If that's not you, leaf now!

A 20-megapixel camera is very addictive. Thanks to kind, and generous blog follower, I have one. You can take a photograph of the most mundane things, like, um... dewy leaves, and just lose yourself in the details. Below are two such details. Click on them to open the full-resolution images. Right-click, "Save link as..." will save the nearly 8 MB images to your hard drive.

Spot the spider

[caption id="attachment_4597" align="alignnone" width="497"] Did I get a spot on the camera lens again?[/caption]

Are we looking for a spider, or is the spider's name "Spot?" If we wanted to find a spider named Spot, could we even write a sentence like "Spot Spot the spider" without the language police whisking us away to a minimum security spelling bee? Whatever. This post isn't about bees, it's about spiders.

Pretty fly for a ... fly

After I fished the Apple PowerBook, featured in the previous post, out of the dumpster, I arranged, and photographing it (the couple who'd tossed it out, as part of moving out, or apartment-cleaning, offered me every subsequent bag of trash they brought out). A fly alighted on the PowerBook, and I tried to get a sharp closeup -- not something my dumpster-derived Samsung S860 excels at -- but today it was "The Little Camera that Could." Click the images to enlarge them.

too close!
