[caption id="attachment_7140" align="alignnone" width="497"] Yup. I tasted it. Definitely water.[/caption]
Vancouver has had a record dry October. Just what kind of record has been the question through the month. Last night we had precipitation; not so much rain, as heavy mist. There's no official word yet, but I don't think we broke the all-time record.
The October record for consecutive days without measurable rain at the Vancouver Airport is 24 days, set back in 1986, according to meteorologist Mark Madryga, quoted in this Global BC item. In the October 24 item Madryga said Vancouver had gone 17 days without measurable precipitation. In which case, I think that we only managed 23 consecutive days without rain. If so, we mist it by that much! Click the image to enlarge it.
