Jezi Knuckles graces all of us at the Broadway and Granville McDonalds with her presence. She has her little Acer netbook, with it's A/C adapter, held together with lipstick, and hope -- so she's here for the electricity more than the food. That doesn't mean she ignores the locals. This is her neighbourhood. This is where she panhandles, and these are her people -- and Jezi is super good with people -- she likes them, and they like her. When she panhandles, she does so with a light, friendly, touch. She doesn't so much put the bite on you as nibble playfully around the edges. To her left, is Maurice, who told me about Mazinger Z.
