Just noticing this building on West Broadway is studded, on top, with a bunch of weird bits that don't look like heating ducts, or plumbing pipes. The subject of UFO technology came up over breakfast this morning, but, in this case, I think the safe guess is that it's cellular reception technology -- receivers, repeaters, that kind of thing. This equipment has probably been up there for years, but it might be new. This kind of infrastructure must be constantly expanding. We're expecting, and receiving, a lot more wireless connectivity. Just in this neighbourhood of Fairview, for example, there is a new encrypted Shaw Go wireless signal that is becoming available in all sorts of places along West Broadway, and South Granville, and, I have no doubt, throughout downtown Vancouver.
