The Green Guy, who got $5 for the goat, by the way, brought me this Barbra Streisand Superman album cover, from 1977,  back in the day when they recorded songs on flat disks made from the PVC they make plumbing pipes out of -- weird huh? I snapped some pictures, even as I told TGG there were going to be all sorts of scans of it on the Net -- and yes, there's a nice scan accompanying the Wikipedia entry on this album. ►

As I twiddled with it, turning it, this way and that, I wondered, why was I doing that? It seemed to remind me of something... something buried deep in my psyche... a repressed memory; a traumatic event? I'd never been a real Streisand fan; never seen the album before. What could it be?

Oh ya.. I remembered -- The film Supergirl from 1984, starring Helen Slater. Here's the moment, after Selena the witch (Faye Dunaway) has sent Supergirl to the Phantom Zone. Damn! All that expensive therapy down the drain. Click the images to enlarge them.
